From Believing to Receiving Mark 11:22-24

...Jesus said unto them
“Have faith in God.
23 For assuredly, I say
to you, whoever says to
this mountain,‘Be removed
and be cast into the sea,’
and does not doubt in
his heart, but believes
that those things he
says will come to pass,
he will have whatever
he says.

24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things
you ask when you pray, believe that you receive
them, and you will have them. Mark 11:22-24

It seems that for many of us one of the hardest things to do in
our lives is to relinquish control of ourselves to God.

We have bad habits that interfere with the blessings that God
has for us and in our own desire to be in control we suffer
needlessly from afflictions to our mind and our bodies.

We abuse our bodies by living worldly lives of overindulgence
of smoking, drinking, partying, sexual deviance, hatred,
unforgiveness and so much more.

These problems  can easily be taken care of by
Our father in Heaven if we only come to Him with
our hearts desire and pray humbly with expectancy
and forgiveness flowing from within ourselves to
the Glory of God in Heaven.

In Mark 11:24 Jesus says, "Therefore, I say unto you, whatsoever
things you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them,
and you shall have them."

Just take a look a the wondrous miracles performed by Jesus as
he walked the earth and He is still performing miracles today. The
miracles were received by those who believed in Him, those whose
hearts truly believed  and those who in todays world truly believe that
Jesus is the Savior of a lost and dying world.

You see - We have to believe to receive!!

The Miracles of Jesus Christ included:

Curing the sick, the blind, lepers, the woman with the
issue of blood, the paralyzed, the deaf and mute. He casted
out demons and resurrected the dead.  He turned water into
wine and fed thousands.  He walked on water, calmed the
storms and so much more!

Miracles are a basis for faith in Christ.

All the healing that occurred happened to teach us to believe and
to have faith in Jesus Christ.  True believing and receiving is trust
in the promise that He will do what he said he would do.

God is faithful to us - His children- and we can rely on that.

The Word of God teaches us to
pray sincerely.

When a righteous man prays  sincerely with continued, honest, and heartfelt,
prayer - a tremendous power is released.
It is a great power – a dynamically active
power that effectively goes to work for us – producing the desired result.

If we sincerely desire for our prayers to be answered,
there are a few things that we must do to ensure the desired result.

We must walk righteously before the Lord.
We must pray sincerely and fervently.
We must must pray according to the Will of God.

We must believe to receive!!

Our Father in Heaven desires for us to live full lives,
healthy and whole in every way.

But in order to do this, we must look to God for everything -
praising Him and believing in His faithful love for us.

Believing takes the emphasis off of prayer itself, and puts the
emphasis entirely on God Himself.
Our belief is in Him and His faithfulness to us.

The Bible teaches us to rely on God.

Only when we relinquish our own control
can we fully rely on God
and then we can fully pray believing that
His will shall be done.

We are to believe Him first, and then express
that belief in prayer.

Our faith must be in our heart before a prayer
 comes out of our mouth.

God's word says, “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH
AND IN YOUR HEART” — ... if you confess with your mouth
Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from
the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes,
resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses,
resulting in salvation. Rom 10:8-10

You must believe to receive!!

We can’t make anything happen!
But God can!
He desires to grant us the desires of our heart and
answer our prayers.

However, it is only through our faith in God that "things"
happen and the answers to our prayers are realized.

In Isiah 55:11 says, So shall My word be that goes forth from
My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish
what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

God’s Word always accomplishes what He pleases and
prospers in the thing for which He sent it.
God’s Word always comes to pass no matter what!
Believe His Word, speak His Word, stand on His Word,
and receive the fulfillment of His promise in your life.

22 So Jesus answered and said to them,
Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you,
whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast
into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that
those things he says will come to pass, he will have whatever
he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you
ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you
will have them. Mark 11:22-24 NKJV

  1. Believe and rest in the knowledge that His Word is true.
  2. Believe your word – that what YOU say will come to pass.
  3. Speak to the mountain.
  4. Don’t doubt, but truly believe.
  5. When you praybelieve that you have received the answer right then.
  6.  You are not waiting for it – you have it already.
  7. Continue to thank God for the answered prayer. Praise His Holy Name!!

God’s Word says that if you speak to your situation and command it
to change and you do not doubt in your heart, but you believe
that what you say will come to pass – then, and only then, will you have
whatever you say.

God's word also tells us:
“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything
against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in
heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.
But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in
heaven forgive your trespasses.” Mark 11:25-26 NKJV

We must to believe to receive!!

Let us choose His way of life
by relinquishing control of
ourselves to God.  Let us give Him
our bad habits that interfere with the blessings that He has for us and
our own desire to be in control.
Let us stop  suffering needlessly from afflictions to our mind and our bodies.

Jesus says:
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life...
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?...
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will
 worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own." (Matthew 6:25, 27, 34, NIV).

My prayer for today is that we
choose to truly believe in our heart,
express that belief  with our mouth in prayer
and get ready to receive the glorious gifts of love, peace,
joy and healing that Our Lord has prepared for each of us.

Blessings to all in the Glorious Name of Jesus Christ, Amen
