It was just a few weeks ago when she got a midnight phone call that her son had hit a deer while riding his motorcycle. She felt a sense of peace over her as she quickly grabbed her keys and headed out the door to the location that her son was along the road in the middle of the night. He had been coherent enough to get up, pull his bike off of the highway and call 911, so the county police officer was on his way, as well. Her son had also called his grandmother and his brother, so they were all on their way to the accident.
All she knew was that he said he was okay, but bleeding. Fear gripped her about half way there and she felt herself shaking all over. She remained in continuous prayer, knowing that earlier in the evening when her son told her that he would be riding at night, she had already prayed God’s angels and protection around him.
She was relieved to see him standing up and talking to the police officer. She did recognize the effects of shock and adrenaline that he was displaying, as he talked way too fast and joked about the accident. Did he not see the severity of what just happened? She wondered.
She drove him to the hospital to be checked over and she listened as her son told her about how he had rolled down the highway at what he perceived to be about a 40 ft. distance and somehow rolled up onto his feet and pulled his 600 pound bike off the highway by himself.
Was it the adrenaline, she wondered, that gave him the strength to get his bike off the highway? Maybe, she thought. But, she was sure that it was almost impossible that her son rolled and down the highway and ended up on his feet, coherent and able to move that bike all by himself.
When she finally got home at 5 am and lay down to rest, she heard God tell her that an angel was there. The angel assisted with pulling the bike off the road and it was the angel that enveloped her son in his wings, rolling down the highway with him and set him on his feet. Although he was injured, with deep bruises and deep abrasions, her son had no broken bones and no head or neck injury. He was wearing his helmet, but had chosen on this ride to dress without his usual protective clothing because it was very hot outside.
She mentioned to him that the angel had protected him, and his response, at that time, was that he didn’t do a very good job, since he did get hurt. As she sees it however, his angel did a great job. It could have been so much worse.
I thank our Father in Heaven for hearing our prayers, myself and others who keep their children in prayer calling forth the angels to protect and minister to them in the midst of poor decisions and danger.
As I have continued to ponder the angels at the scene of the accident, God brought to my attention a number of events that I am aware of that are sure indications that we do indeed have guardian angels to protect us.
These words have come to me to share: "Patty, you know that night that you drove through the deer on the highway on your way to college, your angel was there. You have told that story many times. Jeanne, the time you were choking on the aspirin, your angel was there. James, when you were four and you poked the knife in the electrical socket, your angel was there. Larry, when you got hit on the head at work and drove several hours home and stumbled into the house, it was your angel that guided your way. Meghan, when you pulled out into front of the van on the highway and got broadsided, but walked away with no injuries, your angel was there."
And God says, "I am ever present in the midst of your days. I do not ever leave your side. I see all and I hear all and I love you. There is nothing that you can do to make me not love you. Even when you don’t take me seriously, when you don’t share who you know I am, when you use and abuse your body in ways unclean and unappealing to its design, as a temple of my heart which beats and my spirit which lives within you, I still love you with an unconditional love."
"I am patiently waiting for you, guarding you and protecting you and acting on the prayers of those who hold you so dear in their heart."
"I want you to know that my word is true. I formed you in your mother’s womb. It was I who made your heart to beat. I breathed into you, your very first breath. I smiled along with your mom and dad, and brothers and sisters, and grandparents, as you took your first steps and spoke your first words." When you looked in awe at my creation, and you experienced all your firsts, I smiled down on you, joyful of the beauty that you are. The essence of Me that you displayed as a happy child free to love and experience life anew brought me so much joy."
"Yet, as you grew, I watched as things happened that made your heart grow sad. I watched as strife occurred in your family, as you felt rejection and experienced loss. I have watched as you have struggled to understand My ways, to understand why love sometimes hurts, why life isn’t just easy. "
"I just want you to know that I do love you so very much and that I have assigned angels around you every day to guard and protect you. They have done so many things for you that you are unaware of."
"You have met angels in stores or on the street, in a kind word or a gesture just when you needed it most. They also ride along with you, as you ride or drive in a car or motorcycle, on a bus, plane, boat or train. I even sit beside you as you watch television."
"I love you so much that I sent Jesus, My son, to die for you. That day on the cross at Calvary, Jesus took the pain and torment for every sin, sickness and disease, and for every emotional turmoil and strife that the world would present to My people."
"Jesus did it because of love. He Is, I Am…Love."
"Do you know that you, who are created in My image, are also a part of My design for creation? You are beautiful. Even when you feel broken, sick or abused, or rejected, you are always the apple of My eye, My beautiful creation, My love."
"Oh, how I love you! Oh, how joyful it is to see you every day! I do ask that you take care of your physical body, as it is the house (temple) of My Spirit within you."
"My enemy, satan, would like to defile your body and your mind, to steal your soul, crush your spirit and divide your family, your relationships."
"I do want you to know that he is a sly adversary. He wanted to be Me. That is why I threw him out of Heaven. I loved him very much, but he wouldn’t accept that I Am who he would never be. He has vowed to steal all of you from Me and I don’t want that to happen. I call all of mankind unto Myself, away from the evil and into My glory."
"I hope you can see how much I love you. I have promised to guard you and keep you safe… and I will. I choose you My child and I give to you My love every day of your life… and beyond." Thus saith the Lord.
Praise God from Whom all blessings come…
My prayer for today is that we give God the Glory and honor He deserves as our Creator, our Father in heaven, who loves us with an unconditional love. He seeks to guard and protect us, as he calls us unto Himself and His ways for life eternal in His Kingdom of Paradise!
Love and Blessings to all in Jesus precious name.
As an added note: We have just discovered that as her son older son and her husband picked up the motorcycle to put it into the truck, the angel was also there.
Both, her husband and her son, had been thinking that he the other one had carried the weight of the bike while lifting it into the truck. Not so! It must have been that same angel or angels in our midst after the accident that were present to assist. Praise God that He supplies us with just what we need, ever present at our side!
We are indeed a blessed people, as the children of our Almighty God.
Psalm 91:11-16 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:14-15
