Graduates... Let your light shine in this world!

Jesus said in Matthew 5:14-16, "Ye are the light of the world... Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven."

Graduation Day is a day of joy and accomplishment. It is a time to let your light shine, as you go out into the world to share all that has been learned through many years of schooling and hard work, studying year after year.
As you started school at a young age in preschool or kindergarten, you first learned to read and write, and then to express who you are through your writing and school work. Some of you have learned expression through music and art, or

the sciences.

In school, you have learned a sense of accomplishment and who you are. You have learned to let your light shine in all that you do.

In Jeremiah 29:11, Jesus tells us:

"For I know the plans I have for you,... plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

You are now grown up, venturing out on your own to colleges or into the workforce.  Some of you have children already. Some of you will get married and raise families.
Others of you will join the Military and serve our country.

Whatever choices you have made for the future, rest assured that God has always been present in your lives.

From the first day of school to the last day of school as a graduating Senior, Jesus has walked with you and comforted you, providing you with His love and protection every day.
His word tells us that He will continue to do just that as you move forward in your lives.

My prayer for each graduating Senior is for you to go forward in this world and let your light shine!

Go forward in confidence and knowledge that you will be prosperous and protected. As a child of God, you are guaranteed a wonderful future by our Father in Heaven.

In John 8:2, Jesus teaches,  “I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the

light of life.”

Praise God for His great love and light and many blessings for every graduating Senior.
In Jesus' precious name, Amen.
