I was driving through town after the 16 inches of snow fell recently. Residents were still digging out. Snow still covered many vehicles and sidewalks were not scooped to clear a path for anyone to walk.
It was dusk and a very dreary evening, but we were out and about to get some groceries and look at the snow. Gutters had fallen off of houses due to the snow load. Roads were bumpy, still covered with a thick layer of freezing slush.
I looked up in front of me, as I drove down the street.
For quite some time now, I have been sharing that God calls all man's hearts unto Himself. But there is one thing I did not realize. Until....
I had just awakened from a night of strange dreaming. Once again, I felt restless. I hadn't been able to shake this oppression that seemed to hover over me for so long. It just didn't seem like life was fun anymore. Where had my joy gone? In the midst of over a year of extreme trial and stress, I felt like I had succumbed to some sort of misery.
This is a testimony of the love of Jesus and how His love sees us through. There are increasing numbers of women and men, as well as children who are living in abusive relationships behind closed doors. This trauma often leaves us in a frozen state, fearful and unable to see our way out.
This is a testimony...a road to healing trauma. It is not meant to vilify anyone, but instead to set us on a path to freedom with the love of Jesus.
This is one woman's story, a testimony from the heart of this woman of God whose name only God knows.
1 Corinthians 15:34 Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God--I say this to your shame.
People are puppets to the enemy of God. They wound with their words, scoffing and mocking with anger and hatred. When we don't see in the spirit ...the forces behind the evil attacks, we only see the human form of man (or woman) attacking us. Satan sits back at laughs as his human puppet causes strife and trauma. It takes a toll on the emotions and physically as well.
I stood, as I watched the grown up people blatantly refuse our Father in Heaven. They refused to enter His house. They refused to hear His word. They refused to join in song and worship. They mocked and scoffed at His servants sent to share His word. The refused a smile. They refused a kind word. They refused, as they went on to slander the servants sent by God to share His word, testimony and love. If the church wasn't going to be run like it has always been, they would refuse it, seeking to punish the servants of God.
know…Your angel was there?
It was just
a few weeks ago when she got a midnight phone call that her son had hit a deer
while riding his motorcycle. She felt a sense of peace over her as she quickly
grabbed her keys and headed out the door to the location that her son was along the
road in the middle of the night. He had
been coherent enough to get up, pull his bike off of the highway and call 911,
so the county police officer was on his way, as well. Her son had also called his grandmother and
his brother, so they were all on their way to the accident.
Forgive me, Father... for I am about to sin. Really??
Gods word tells us.1 John 3:4-10...
Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. You know that he appeared to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him.
Are you answering or ignoring God's call?
It is no secret that the enemy of our God runs much interference in the lives of God's children. Sometimes we cannot distinguish his voice and confusion overwhelms us.
But, are we ignoring God's call?
Are we so self-consumed in our own affairs that we put God on the back burner and we will get to Him later?
After all, He will always be there. Right?
Did you ever think that just as much as we want to know that we can depend on Him when we need Him, God also wants to be able to depend on us when He calls.
When you are tired of fighting...Don't give up...Get up!!
Have you ever had a day, a week, a month or even a year or more where it seemed like everything in your life went wrong.
You find yourself day after day... struggling. It is like life has become a fight just to survive. You know the struggle is becoming too much and you try to get out of the slump, but there seems to be no reprieve. Every day is the same, until finally you realize that you are losing the battle.
As God, our Father, is touching my heart in a special way, today I am sharing with you His love in poetry. Love and Blessings to all.
Father God, this is my plea! Open my eyes that I might see!
So much has happened
So much pain
I feel like I've been drowning
in a torrential rain...
Oppressed by the darkness
Only clouds everywhere
Not one speck of sunshine
Just pain after pain....
God, open my eyes that I might see
Who you are again
Please, don't abandon me...
I have been so lost
.... distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. Romans 12:13
"It's a beautiful day in Florence Italy..." this man's outgoing message begins on his voicemail.
That message made me think...
Often, we have a want to go and visit European cities... to enjoy the charm and beauty of the romantic "old world" and we are confident that we will be met with hospitality. We are sure that as tourists, we are welcome to come and converse and spend our money.
Tell your heart to beat again...open up and let God in!
This may sound funny to some people, but to those who have had heart wrenching and heart breaking circumstances in our lives, we understand how sometimes it just seems like our heart just beats out of sync or barely beats at all.
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Give none offense, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God. Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved. (1 Corinthians 10:31-33)
I believe that as children of our Father in Heaven, our Creator, we are called to operate for the purpose and glory of God.
The problem seems to be that too often people need to get over themselves, and step out of the way, so that God can move.
I was recently led to a "Sid Roth
It is...our task to love!
Romans 12:9-13 tells us:
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
As I was reading though an old book of poetry and verse, I discovered this poem written over 100 years ago by
Oh how much we would benefit if only we would think on things lovely and loveable!
God's word tells us many times about the problems that arise when we allow ourselves to be overtaken by anger or hurt feelings. His word shows us that in order to live in peace with joy, we need to put our focus on Him to be tenderhearted and look on all things lovely and loveable.
I found this in a book I was reading recently...
WHAT TO FORGET
If you would increase your happiness and prolong your life, forget your neighbors faults.
The weather forecast was calling for a wintry mix of freezing drizzle, snow turning to rain and then more freezing drizzle with an accumulation of 1/10th inch of ice before it ends.
That didn't sound too ominous, as we set out early to get a few groceries in town 10 miles away. I drove slowly, being cautious of what they call black ice on the road.
It wasn't too bad really, and the freezing drizzle had even stopped.
Wonderful. I thought that maybe the weather had changed, as it so often does in the Midwest.
Once again we have ended a year and rejoiced in the coming of a new year.
It is January 1. 2018.
Tradition has it that people ring in the new year with joy and thankfulness that the last year has passed and look forward to a time of refreshing, new ambitions, new dreams, new hopes for a better future.
As the new year comes just one week after Christmas, it seems too often forgotten that the birth of Jesus brought forth a new thing, a time of rejoicing that the Savior of the world was born.
Sometimes in life, we meet people and we just know that God was in the midst. You recognize something special about them. Their heart is tender and sweet, with the essence of our Father in Heaven, a true Holy Spirit encounter.
I am blessed to remember...
I wrote this for one of my very best friends not long after our souls collided in a most amazing way. We had known of each other for many years, but we didn't know each other. Then, that one day, it was like God just picked us up both at the same time and placed us in the palm of his hand.
This poem was written by my grandmother in 1950.
As I read it, I can feel her love for God. Although many times throughout my life I heard people, family members mostly, say bad things about my grandma. I wonder if they really ever saw her as Jesus saw her. Did they see her humble heart, His heart ,which beat ever so lovingly within her soul?
Dear Lord, I cast on Thee my earthly care~
for thou dost keep me through the years.
And now I come to Thee in humble prayer~
Christmas is a special time
For happiness and joy.
It is meant to celebrate
The birth of a little boy
Who was born in the straw
To the Virgin Mary
While many people in the world
Looked at Him in awe.
They named the baby, Jesus
As in Mary's lap He lay~
And Shepherds from all over
Came to see Him on that day.
He grew to be the greatest man
That there could ever be~
For Jesus gave up His life
Just for you and me.
We should all be thankful~
Do we dare be different...for the calling of our Lord?
I remember vividly certain times of my life, certain days that are what I believe to be times when God was pleased at my acknowledgment of Him. As I know in my heart that God has truly known me eternally, He did indeed knit me together in my mother's womb and He placed within my forming body a beating heart that He foreknew would one day beat for Him and for the purpose of glorifying His name.
I was blessed to have a mother who loved Jesus.
Look to the LORD and His strength; seek His face always. 1 Chronicles 16:11 NIV
I was never really one who believed in pennies from Heaven...until recently.
I have been finding pennies in some locations that
seem to be off the beaten path.
It's common to find them while walking in the street or in the car wash, or by a soda machine.
But, I find pennies as if they have been laying in wait for my arrival.
Once I found a penny in the trunk of a car once owned by my best friend in Heaven.
Jesus said, "...If you shall have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place and it shall remove and nothing shall be impossible to you."
Matthew 17:20 kjv
That certainly is a very small amount, for a mustard seed is very small indeed. What an amazing thing for such a small measure of faith!
But, we must also think of the people... who don't read the Bible; people... who have no relationship with God; people.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalm 23 KJV
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
The Word of our Lord is unchanging; written for our instruction, to give us an understanding of what once was and what is to come.
The Word of our Lord is our handbook for life.
As we are living in what appears to be perilous times,
I want to start today by letting you know that I am not writing this to pass judgment onto anyone, as I see and understand the complexity of this issue. I also understand God's plan and purpose for humanity and this plan which is written in the Bible is what I am speaking about today.
It seems that the world we live in is becoming
increasingly rogue, chaotic and rebellious.
As I was reading the news today, it was once again brought to my attention that the question of gender is surely one of Satan's most used manipulations to get into the minds of mankind and attempt to turn the beauty and truth of God's creation into a spectacle of sorts.
2 Corinthians 4: 17-18
“For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever. So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
It was an exciting time for me when God planted me here in this small community of just 450 people. This small, abandoned country church sat quietly for some time, waiting for God to breath life once again inside its walls.
For the love of God will turn all men's hearts to him...
I had a dream.
I have been asking Jesus for more dreams of Him.
I hadn't had a Jesus dream for a long time, as I seemed I had been just too busy trying to survive...to get through the last days, months or even years.
But recently I was blessed with this dream...
I, once again, stand in awe of our Lord and in love with Jesus, as He never leaves us. He never leaves us even when we feel all alone. He is really very
Are you disillusioned... satisfied with the lie?
This quote is from a discussion forum I found that talked about religion on Facebook. Someone who called him or herself Cookie Monster stated, "...church. It is more of a tradition/feel of community sort of thing for me. But I just don't really believe the miraculous stuff. I like most of the teachings that are attributed to Jesus, but I think many of your run of the mill "he has risen" type of Christian don't seem to truly follow that Jesus.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
As God's children living in this world, it isn't uncommon for us to feel wounded at times in our life.
But sometimes, it seems like the wounds never heal and only become deeper and more painful as days, months or even years pass by.
We begin to see life as a constant hurt, each day harder than the next. It becomes hard to smile a real smile, hard to laugh a genuine laugh.
It's all God...
intense, yet calming and awe inspiring...Sometimes God does things in our lives that leave us
without words to express how we feel.
It is a deep amazement, an internal knowing that the One
who created everything we see, smell, touch, hear, or taste... has created a
magnificent moment that touches us deep into the depths of who we are.
And we fall on our knees in praise of who He is. It is intense, yet
calming, and awe inspiring when we come into the realization of just how loved
and cared for we are by our Father in Heaven.
In my Father's House...
To me, there is no better place than being in my Father's House, my church home here in this world. It is a House of peace, a place to find comfort, to sing praises to our Father, glorifying His name. It is a House to learn of His word and works. It is His house where we are free share who He is ... His wondrous Glory and His love.
My Father's house is a scared place among houses. It is not to be defiled. It is to behold His essence, His beauty and His Majesty within it's walls.
Are you feeding the demons? Good food, bad food...
We all know that Satan is the enemy of our God, but how often do we stop and think about what we are eating. I don't mean just the hamburgers or pizza you you enjoy... or the soda and chips.
I am talking about feeding your spirit.
It is written in our Father's word that Satan is here to steal, destroy and kill the kingdom of God.
"How does he do it?"... you might ask.
The answer is simple.
It is all about what we consume in our spiritual lives.
Jealous of Jesus? Don't resent...Repent!
Have you ever met anyone who just can't seem to find joy in your happiness and love for Jesus?
They see your joy and seek to bring you down.
They want your attention fully on them. They seek to be your only joy, your only love, and have all of you.
Sounds crazy, doesn't it?
I believe Jesus would say, "Woe to you who seek to find fulfillment in another human being before you find joy in me. For there is no true joy, unless it comes from the Father through me.
You are so beautiful to me....Today, I woke up and checked my Facebook posts and a friend had posted a video of a play he was singing in. The song that followed touched my heart and I felt such a beautiful love for Jesus that I am compelled to write this letter to Jesus this morning.
I love you. You really are so very beautiful to me. Your love abounds in all creation.
You have known me through times of laughter and times of tears.
You have known me as a goofy little girl and as woman who has struggled with hard decisions and loss, misunderstandings and so much fear.
Be glad...knowing all things come from God... Ecclesiastes 9: 7-10
Go and eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart for it is now that God favors what you do. Always be clothed in white and always anoint your head with oil. Enjoy life with your wife whom you love all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun - all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might for in the grave where you are going there is neither planning or knowledge of wisdom.
Know that the Lord, He is God! It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Psalm 100:3
When God speaks : Do you have a big ear for Satan and a little ear for God? or a big ear for God and and no ear for the enemy?
God's word tells us that He comes to us in a small still voice.
Often we hear Him best when we are relaxed and in a calm and quiet state.
Maybe after a bath or shower or when we lie in bed at night, we know He comes to us revealing His awesome presence with a sense of peace or a great revelation of something that we couldn't see before.
Our God is doing an awesome work in these times!
His Word ...the Sword of the Spirit, comes down from the Heavens!!
The picture on the left was taken by me recently, as I was taking pics of our church at night. The front of the church was so pretty with the light shining through the windows and the soft glow of the street light nearby gave a sweet ambiance and peace. I stood feeling blessed that God has placed me here as the Pastor of this church.
Later, when I looked at the pics I took I saw a streak of light above the church.
7 Remember your leaders, who spoke God’s message to you; reflect on the outcome of their lives and imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever! 9 Do not be carried away by all sorts of strange teachings. For it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not ritual meals [foods] which have never benefited those who participated in them Hebrews 13:7-9
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever!
We are living in a time when the word religion is being attacked from every direction.
Luke 2:49 ..."Didn't you know
I had to be in my Father's house?"
"The first church was not intellectual, academic, rich, or elite, but a simple people full of The Holy Ghost. They turned the world upside down." Anonymous
Matthew 22:32 "He is not the God of the dead but of the living."
Do you believe in Ghosts?
Do you believe that your family members visit you in your house?
Have you seen orbs in pictures, lights, etc that are not easy to explain?
Have you seen dark shadows and felt uneasy in certain locations?
Have objects moved right before your eyes or things falling off of walls or flying across the room?
Are you now or have you been fascinated by these things?
There are many television shows and movies that glorify these happenings.
The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin. (Proverbs 10:8)
Surely we have all known a person who talks too much.
This person just chatters about anything and everything.
In fact, these people are sure within themselves that everything they say is important and that we should continually listen to and agree with them.
They make it a point to make sure that they are heard. After all, they are more important and more favored than anyone else. Right?
They do not accept disagreement and they do not listen to or hear any one else's thoughts or opinions on any matter.
Love and don't waste time...be ready not recognized...and if it's not good, it's not from God!
These are three truths that God showed me several years ago.
I have shared them many times and
seek to diligently remember and use them every day in my own life.
Love and don't waste time...
God is love.
His love and time is ultimately in His hands.
Not one of us knows the hour or day of His return.
And not one of us knows how many hours or days that we have to live our lives.
Look around .
Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3
The Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom...and Favor.
Have you ever met someone who seems to walk always in some sort of favor?
Every thing they touch seems to turn to gold and whatever they ask for... they receive. An inner peace and joy seems to abound in their presence, as well.
Did you know that the Spirit of our Lord, Jesus Christ, is never far away?
This is from my heart ....and for someone today.
May God heal your heart and give you strength.
I see many women living in fear of their husband, crying, hurting emotionally and physically, at the hand of the man who they believed would be their best friend, lover and even soulmate.
A husband should be kind to his wife and not yell at her.
The first time it hurts...the second time it hurts and then the yelling begins to chip away at who she is...slowly breaking her down, emotionally and physically.
I had a dream and in this dream I could feel a complete love and compassion for men (and women) who are deceived and taken into the false light, calling one another master. I could feel the heart of Jesus; the concern and sorrow that He has for these children of God who have been blinded and do not see the true light of our Father in Heaven.
Our God gives us many Scriptures about men who are blinded and worship a false light, a false deity, Satan himself.
Let us not be selfish, but in ALL things and at all times be Christ-like walking in humility. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
1Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy,
2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
The earth brought forth vegetation: plants yielding seed of every kind, and trees of every kind bearing fruit with the seed in it. And God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:12)
He designed us to be NOT of this world...but a part of His beautiful creation. When we choose Him... He showers us with His great love and blessings. And it doesn't get better than that!!
Yesterday, as I was walking, I saw my first dandelion of spring.
To me, each dandelion expresses an essence of bright yellow, like a little bit of sunshine, looking up at God smiling, as if to say "Thank you Lord!
Keep on... walking toward the Light ...
but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)
Have you ever felt like you are stuck?
Your situation just does not seem to change and sometimes it feels like it just gets worse and worse?
You pray and nothing is happening?
You feel frustrated and angry at your situation?
Are you in the wilderness, lost, with no direction as to which way to go?
The key to getting out of that situation is simple.
