Colossians 3:19 tells us...“Husbands, love your wives..."

This is from my heart ....and for someone today.
May God heal your heart and give you strength.

I see  many women living in fear of their husband, crying, hurting emotionally and physically, at the hand of the man who they believed would be their best friend, lover and even soulmate.

A husband should be kind to his wife and not yell at her.
The first time it hurts...the second time it hurts and then the yelling begins to chip away at who she is...slowly breaking her down, emotionally and physically.

When she married you...she was trusting you with her life.

Til death do us part wasn't meant to be at her husband's hand, but after a lifetime of loving...not yelling.
She cries out for you to ...Please stop hurting her!!
There is no excuse for a husband to be hurtful to his wife.

As the enemy seeks to divide and destroy marriages today, let us look at God's plan for marriage.
Colossians 3:19 tells us...“Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them."

We have read in the Word of God... husbands should love their wives, as Christ loves the church.
Jesus does not treat His church in hurtful ways.
Rather, Jesus treats His church with love...unconditional love.

In 1 Peter 3:7 ... the Bible ties our relationship with our wives to the success of our prayers.

“Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered."

Husbands, are you praying and seeing no answers to your prayers?

A Christian husband should love his wife with the love of Jesus Christ.

The marriage relationship should be the most important relationship that a husband has, except for his relationship with Jesus.
A husband must give himself to his wife in a self-sacrificing way and striving always to love her as Christ loves the church.
A husband should guard his heart and mind, so that he is able to resist temptations that are sure to come at him.
The husband is the protector, the stronger of the two.

Husbands, it is part of God's plan of creation that you are created to be stronger than your wife.

Why then would you destroy her emotionally or physically?
Did you not vow before God to be of one flesh with her...a union after marriage... in marriage...til death do you part?

When you hurt her...it hurts you both.
Why do it?
Her tears plead ...Just stop it!
Stop hurting her!

Husbands please remember these wise words from King Lemuel,
“An excellent wife who can find?
She is far more precious than jewels." (Proverbs 31:10).

Do you refuse to see it?
Will you refuse to see it?

My prayer for today is that husbands and wives unite ...in accordance with the  beautiful union that God created for His children....a union with a husband who loves and honors his wife, as Christ loves the church... and a wife who responds accordingly with love and  respect for her husband.

It is Satan who seeks to divide and destroy a marriage.
And it is ultimately the husband who carries the responsibility of maintaining a relationship with God first, followed by his love for his wife.  Only when it happens in the order that God has designed will a marriage truly thrive... in love, joy, and peace and also honor and glorify our God.

Husbands, you must stand strong and fight ...not against your wife, but instead to protect her, to love and cherish her...honoring her as your helpmate.
Know that ..."she is far more precious than jewels!"
May God heal every broken and breaking heart right now in Jesus name.

Love and Blessings to ALL in Jesus precious Name...Amen.
