If My People...a word on elections Chronicles 7:14
For many years, people have been watching the election debates in the United States of America.
We have all seen the chaos and division between the people of our great Nation. It has become not just distressing, but traumatizing to see the people in our country at such extreme odds with one another.
It isn't a surprise to anyone that our country is in a decaying state of affairs, both morally and financially.
In the Bible, our God tells us the secret to overcoming these problems.
He tells us "... if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
2 Chronicles 7:14
There are a lot of people in our country who call themselves Christian. There are also a lot of people who are not Christian. Many, both Christian and not Christian people, go about their days not caring about the state of our Nation. They choose to just live day to day in what they see as an unchanging world.
But, there is a problem with this way of thinking.
You see, the world is changing.
Our country is changing and the change has not been for the betterment of our society.
We are currently a people divided! It has become a good vs. evil agenda.
Our God, who created the world and each of us in it, calls us to a standard of loving and living.
It appears that so many in the world today are missing out.
They are living in a state of unresponsiveness, blinded and uncaring about their brothers and sisters in Christ.
They are speaking non discerning and uninformed nonsense about candidates in the elections.
It has become very clear that there is a war going on between good and evil.
If only, so many of these people, who call themselves Christian, would stop bashing, judging and operating in unforgiveness, then the scales could fall off their eyes and truth would shine before them in an awe inspiring love for mankind and our country.
It's not really about the man or woman. It is about the mission that God has called him or her to do.
The enemy of our God is the author of confusion and lies and misconceptions.
It is his goal to steal our country...spiraling it into the pit of hell where...division among people, killing babies, child abduction, every sort of perversion and greed are the norm.
God has a better plan. His word is the only Word that can be trusted.
He tells us "if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14.
It is my prayer that the scales and blindfolds fall off the eyes of all people, Christians and non Christians alike. We are all born into this world with an innate knowledge within each of us, as to what is good and what is bad, or evil.
We are created to know the difference.
Our God also tells us: "...choose this day whom you will serve...
"Many Christians are praying and I am aware that our God has heard our prayers.
It is time for our land to be healed, division brought to unity and our God glorified once again in our Nation.
